Fallen Angel

Short Story:

a lone angel sat in her Gaurdian's chair, watching the small children of the earth play below her feet.

the angel loved children and was happy to be a garudian angel to one of them.

the angel never left her chair as long as the children are awake

but only when the children sleep does the angel leave her chair.

this choice the angel made was a risky one, one that cost her her life.

one night, the angel left her chair to get a drink.

when she returned, she was devistated to find out that the child she was gaurding had been murdred by one of the demons of the Underworld.

the angel's boss was not happy to hear that his star employee had failed.

as her punishment, her boss sent her to the Underworld to retreive that child's soul.

the angel attempted to, but for the second time in her life, failed.

her boss then punished her by sentecing her to 1,000 years on earth as a Fallen Angel.

as the angel fell from the Heavens, the tips of her wings turned red, symbolizing her banishment.
